ColossalCon East 2017 Gallery by FPS, Saturday Part 3

In this last of three galleries from Saturday at ColossalCon East is my one set of photos taken in the water park. The wonderful Jenevieve Devereaux Cosplay was more than willing to be my first ever water park cosplay subject and I learned a valuable lesson. When the loud buzzer/horn noise goes off, it isn’t an escalator alarm like it sounds, but the alert that the wave part of the wave pool is about to start.

Turns out, the foot away from the water’s edge that was my location became at times a foot under water. No worries, though — eventually my shoes and pants dried out.

Even though the Pennsylvania Kalahari has a much bigger indoor water park than the one in Ohio, the wave pool is really the only place to get the equivalent of outdoor beach-like lighting and setting. So photographers were lined up cheek-to-jowl along the side facing the big glass wall of windows. If the outside temperature is above the low 60s next year, maybe that will ease some as more people shoot outside.
