John Scalzi Talks TV Adaptations, Favorite Authors And ‘Whatever’

This January at the science fiction and fantasy convention Arisia in Boston, we had the chance to interview one of the hottest authors in sci-fi of the past decade, John Scalzi.

Scalzi, author of books like Redshirts and the Old Man’s War series among others, was the author guest of honor at the convention. Our main books and movies man Gregg “Wonderllama” Snider got a chance to sit down with him on Sunday. It took quite some time to edit down the more than 40 minutes of free-wheeling talk into the 8-plus minutes we ended up with — Scalzi is a very dynamic and engaging interview subject.
