Talyn-X Is Tops As ‘Deadpool’ Character Angel Dust

While we had our own team covering C2E2 a few weekends ago, we certainly weren’t the only video teams or photographers there, and we certainly didn’t get a chance to take a photo of every cosplayer. One of those photographers was the immensely talented BriLan Imagery and one of those cosplayers was the equally talented (and tough) Talyn-X Cosplay.

Our good friend Gillian at Cos Couture turned us on to these pictures of Talyn-X as a spot on Angel Dust from Deadpool. Aside from the great costume, Talyn bears a striking (no pun intended) resemblance to MMA fighter/model/actress Gina Carano — she also has MMA experience and, well, let’s let her talk about why this character was a perfect choice:

The character in Deadpool was absolutely amazing. After getting told I needed to cosplay Angel by 30 people before I even saw the film, I figured I’d like her. I LOVED her! Gina Carano did an amazing job, and this was the first character I’ve ever seen that had my body type. I’m a CrossFitter, weight lifter, and I have a background in MMA and I used to teach kickboxing. This whole package was such a great thing for me to see, as well as, I think, for other girls to see.
