Anime Boston 2025 Cosplay Gallery Saturday Part 2
By noon on Saturday at Anime Boston 2025 it was clear that the crowds I was expecting due to the convention selling out of passes wasn’t going to happen. Even accounting for the “cosplayers get up late” crowd, I was busy but not crazy busy. I didn’t mind at all, since I was still pretty wiped out from PAX East two weekends prior.
Still, it seemed odd that the crowds weren’t much bigger than on Friday. I heard from staffers I knew that people were even buying weekend passes since that was the only way they could get in on Saturday without having pre-purchased a Saturday pass. As someone who is traditionally known as cheap frugal, I couldn’t imagine paying that much extra money just to attend for one day, but the info is solid. It’s possible the much bigger crowds were there but just never made it up to the second floor. I heard from many people that Artists Alley and the Dealers Room was pretty packed mid-day. But, since attendees had to walk right past my table to get to the Dealers Room, I didn’t see it.
Shout out to fellow photographer team_splenda for bringing me water, and to Anthony of flashcordphoto for being the runner to grab us both overpriced convention food sandwiches for lunch (which still tasted great, I was that hungry).
