While it didn’t give out specific numbers, in its first post-convention press release PAX East stated it had welcomed more than “one hundred thousand gamers worldwide” to the four days of the con. Since I never actually went down to the show floor or saw the massive queue lines for the main theater shows or large panels, I can’t provide any sense of confirmation, aside from the fact that every day I took way more photos of cosplayers than I had in any similar day of PAX East in the 15 years prior.

That means that I have enough photos from Friday to make up five or six of my typical-sized galleries. But, to keep the number of galleries short enough to have them end before Anime Boston begins in two weeks, I am making each gallery larger than usual. That means that the four Friday galleries that start today will each have more than 120 photos, my usual break point at which I split one into two.

Friday started much like Thursday with an early rush, but only let up occasionally throughout the day until about 5 p.m. Our full team was on hand; video team of Nerd Caliber founder Manny and videographer and social media wiz Victoria, our cameraman shooting the cosplay meetups in the Community Meeting room just down the hall in room 109, spectra_v3, and our table assistant Adventures of Clever, also in the gallery below as Aventurine.

Among the cosplayers in this first of four Friday galleries are crimsonina_tv, bulletdancercosplay, himbohusbando, Mink the Satyr Cosplay, ashesdaphoenix, inevitablebetrayal, mrpancakes007, blueeyedsirencosplay, AshleyIsALot Cosplay, ry_anyone, jokerdewitt, andrewf_cosplay, Adventures of Clever, 1emon_vii, scraps_cosplay, decimadragonoid, kundymedia, makermage, lazcosplays, chaosbria, theadmiralmbthat_other_mike, alanamisako, lovepenguin333, itscindychea, freezhie_, amemeda, mok.kos, nicolamortte, unicornnugz, mitsuki__cosplay, auzeri_girl_cosplay, faeryisms, matthew.espina, and many more.
