The Marvel Rivals crowd continued to come to the studio in Room 106 at PAX East 2025 on Saturday, as well as plenty of characters from the many games in Hoyoverse. But maybe my favorite was the group from the series Peacemaker, with their bubble guns. After Peacemaker and Vigilante got their photos, they came back in with a guy cosplaying as Eagly, making their fun duo an awesome trio.

While I won’t rat out the cosplayer who made this mistake, in this gallery is someone who nearly broke my backdrop. In an attempt to make a strong action pose, the cosplayer stepped one foot way back toward my backdrop cloth, stepping into it so deeply they actually pulled the top section of the left stand down by six inches — even though it was locked in place. I would have sworn the cloth would tear when subjected to that much force, but somehow it held up. Pro tip, cosplayers; stay away from the back of a cloth backdrop, for your own safety and the health of the backdrop itself.

Near the end of the afternoon, I did manage to get something to eat aside from the empanadas I had for lunch. When I was walking to the room in the morning, I passed the “no actual burritos” burrito stand and saw they had hot dogs also on the menu. So late Saturday afternoon when Manny went to get food, I asked him to bring me a hot dog. It was a decent sized and generically good dog, albeit — like all con food — overpriced.
