PAX East 2025 Sunday Gallery Part 1 of 2
After the nearly non-stop insanity that was Saturday, I was very much looking forward to a slower Sunday at PAX East 2025, and it didn’t disappoint. Over the course of the shorter day (the show closed at 5 p.m.) I took about twice as many photos as I did on the pretty slow Thursday. That meant there was plenty of time to chat with friends, take pictures of our roommates in Room 106, the cosplay repair team from GiveWave Studios, and generally just take it easy.
Joining the cosplay repair team Saturday and again Sunday was iameenae, in this gallery posing with eguzman314, who was Castor’s table partner all weekend. Or I should say Dr. eguzman314, since just days before the convention she got her Doctorate in Chemistry. I would make a joke about being overqualified for cosplay repair, but man, do I know a lot of scientists who cosplay.
Sunday morning setup was really easy, after Enforcer Manager Anon and his crew brought down all of our gear. That included the extra shipping boxes for the rented lighting gear, which had been removed and stored away because they were so big. Even though I took my time and finished my coffee during setup, I was ready to go well before we opened the doors at 10 a.m.
Since things were so slow compared to Saturday, for lunch I decided to brave another hot dog from the nearest food court station, but this time a chili dog. When I got it, I appreciated that the chili was actually made in house and not from a can, but it also meant it was more liquid and messier. Sunday was the only day I could have gotten away with such a messy food, and thankfully the bathrooms were literally right next door for handy cleanup.
