PAX East 2025 Sunday Gallery Part 2 of 2
Sunday came to a close and ended our time as the first official cosplay photo and video partner for PAX East. While I packed up all the rental gear to go back to LensProToGo, Manny and Victora broke down some of that gear and my backdrop, which was a big help. While all that was going on, we had plenty of time to chat with Leeah, Content Coordinator for ReedPop (which manages all the PAX events and more) about how the weekend went and about possible plans for next year. Nothing has been agreed on yet but stay tuned for any future announcements. And if you haven’t yet filled out the survey about PAX East 2025 that was sent out a few days ago, please mention how awesome the Cosplay Photo Studio and Cosplay Repair stations were!
In its first post-convention press release this year, PAX East confirmed dates for next year. The convention will return to its usual early spring, running from March 26-29, 2026. While I appreciated the weather in May more than the cold and occasional blizzard found in the usual time of year for the con, I will also like having the increased food truck options — and not having it two weeks away from Anime Boston. Wait, it’s only going to be one weekend away next year? Oh, crap.
While game cosplay dominated at PAX East 2025, in this gallery there is an odd block of nothing but anime cosplay, staring with someone cosplaying Yato from Noragami, and ending with someone cosplaying as Shinomiya from Kaiju No. 8. When this post goes live Saturday, I will be at a table in Community Row at Anime Boston. I wonder if the cosplay at Anime Boston will be as mixed in terms of types of fandoms as PAX East was.
