Welcome to the 6th annual Watch City Steampunk Festival!  The rain kept away long enough, and the chilly, raw weather couldn’t keep the crowd away of this wonderful local event. A huge assortment of funky Victorian dry goods were on sale; blacksmiths, acrobats, penny-farthing riders, and an assortment of musical acts entertained fans. Like most steampunk events, costumes were highly varied, colorful, and quite impressive.

First up, an impressive array of steampunk costume wearers, including some of our favorite dogs decked out in the finest. Among the human costumers is Jessica Mercy, and many others.

Photo gallery tips: Once the page loads the images, you will see the Forward and Back navigation arrows above the image, in case you want to scroll faster than the preset. And to see the entire gallery as thumbnails, click on the gray four-box square next to the navigation arrows.

High-res images for sale!
If you are pictured in any of our galleries and want the high resolution download for yourself, we can make it available via a private, password-protected link, for $8 per image. Just send an email to editor AT nerdcaliber.com.

We are also now selling high resolution images of some of the photos taken of cosplayers that have agreed to let us do so. My Top 5 Movies of 2017

2017 was definitely… a year, to sum it up in the most inoffensive way possible. But for all its somber moments, there was no shortage of pop culture to distract us as the world casually deteriorates beneath us. So I offer to ...
