PAX East 2025 Saturday Gallery Part 6 of 6
This last gallery from Saturday at PAX East 2025 is from the last two hours of the day, with the first image taken minutes after 5 p.m., and the last taken after 7 p.m. I hadn’t yet broken down the lights enough to have them hauled away to a secure room and, come on, it’s an Elektra cosplayer. The comic version that is.
There’s always the possibility that I waited so long to break down the lights because I was too exhausted. When it was all done, I had taken 768 photos that Saturday — just 20 or so shy of doubling the last PAX East record from Saturday of 2019. Later that evening, when I was done deleting duplicates, flash sync fails and other errors, the total number of useable images was 750. If we get to be the official cosplay photo studio again next year, I am sure that number will go even higher. Which means the galleries will get even bigger, since I really don’t want to go up to seven galleries or more.
The Final Fantasy flood continues in this gallery, but they are joined by a wave of Elden Ring cosplays, yet more Helldivers and a truly amazing Warhammer 40,000 armor build. Overall, Saturday had a wide variety of cosplay from different fandoms, even though game cosplay dominated. After Final Fantasy, I think the next most common game cosplays came from Pokémon then maybe the Fallout franchise. Still, cosplay outside the game fandoms was well represented, particularly two of the most popular recent anime series, Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End and The Apothecary Diaries.
