Another Anime Convention 2026, Saturday Part 2

One of the things I love most about conventions is connecting with cosplay friends and meeting new cosplayers, and Another Anime Convention 2026 was great for that. In this gallery are photos of cosplayers that really scratched that itch.

First in order of appearance in the gallery is c0demonk, the Jafar cosplayer many of you in the New England area are probably familiar with. I’ve been taking his photo at conventions for many years, and just this past weekend discovered that he and my son worked at the same Wendy’s restaurant in mid-coast Maine for a couple of summers.

Next up are mllextine and charmingashenprince as Neuvilette and Furina from Genshin Impact. Once again, the connection involved my former home state of Maine, and in this case our mutual love of strong black coffee. I turned them on to my favorite roaster, Deadly Grounds Coffee, and we talked about southern Maine microbrewers.  

Rounding things out is nekonej, the Pokémon trainer Jenna near the end of the gallery. She is another one of the cosplayers I hadn’t seen in a decade, in her case because she got married, moved out of New England, and just recently they moved back to the area and she started cosplaying again. As I mentioned in a previous article, this past AAC was loaded with those years-long reconnections.
