PAX East 2025 Nintendo x Super Smash Bros. Cosplay Meetup Gallery

We’ve finally reached the last cosplay gallery from our time as the first official Cosplay Photography and Video Partner for PAX East. This gallery is from the Nintendo x Super Smash Bros. Cosplay Meetup, the last cosplay meetup of Saturday and the con in general.

Hosted by Miz Sylver, Professor Evergreen, DJ Pebbles and Vudoo, the meetup brought together cosplayers representing about as wide a range of Nintendo or Nintendo-connected fandoms as possible. Of course, Super Mario Bros. was well represented, as was The Legend of Zelda, but characters from Kirby, Pokémon, Kingdom Hearts and Persona showed up. Those characters come from the many crossovers with Super Smash Bros. and other game franchises.

There was a total of seven cosplay meetups this year, and I can only imagine that number will grow next year. For PAX East 2026, set for March 26-29, I predict more like 10-12 official meetups. If we get to do this all again next year (fingers crossed) I already have in mind some changes to gear and setup to produce even better results. As I mentioned before, not being able to add any additional light to the room was not ideal. There are, however, multiple solutions to that impediment.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
