Another Anime Convention 2026, Sunday Part 2

With the last gallery linked below, my coverage of Another Anime Convention 2026 comes to an end. I honestly had one of the best convention experiences I’ve had in some time, between the “old home days” reunions and the wonderful treatment by the convention staff. My boss for the weekend, Candice of sakurakittydono, was once again very helpful and encouraging.

Also needing to be acknowledged are the members of the hotel staff. I got the same very pleasant women at the front desk checking in and out, who gave me probably the most concise and clear explanation of the hotel I’ve had. And a free cookie. At the corner of the wide hallway I was set up in was a water station with two glass decanters that needed to be refilled often, and the staff never let it go dry, or run out of ice. In fact, on Sunday I asked one of them if I could scoop some ice out of one of the decanters, and after a slightly concerned look he asked, “Do you need some ice?” When I said yes, he grabbed a new cup and went into the back service area and brought me a full cup of ice for my Dr. Pepper Blackberry Zero Sugar.

The slower pace of Sunday meant, as I mentioned in the last article, more time to chat, including with fellow media folks who were in cosplay, and many people I had talked to previously in the weekend who stopped by to say goodbye, whether or not they were in cosplay. One of those, Roger, the punk Daredevil in a gallery from Saturday, came by to say goodbye with a large pizza box under his arm. He had ordered one for his lunch and realized it was too much for him, so gave me a couple of slices. I don’t know where it came from, but it was really good pepperoni pizza.

I spent much of the hours leading up to the 3 p.m. closing time chatting with Scotty, the Indiana Jones cosplayer. He brought the costume back after he had been wearing it Saturday night as he said he would — at 9:30 p.m., an hour and a half after I had shut down. But Scotty is a sound engineer for bars and clubs, so his sleep schedule is much different from my 66-year-old one. He also helped me break down the studio and even bring my gear to my rental car, which meant I could let my assistant animesuckx take off early. And one final big thanks to her for all her help that weekend.
