Anime Boston 2025 Cosplay Gallery Friday Part 4
As the day wore down on Friday, people started lining up on the opposite wall of the Community Row hallway for that evening’s concerts, even though the first act didn’t start until 8 p.m. The two acts were BLUE ENCOUNT and Reol, about which I know nothing, and your ability to read from a Wikipedia entry is as good as mine.
Even though people staring lining up along that wall pretty early, it was well before the official start time of the queue line forming, so eventually volunteer security had to tell people to clear the hallway as they were causing serious obstructions to foot traffic. Based on how long they had to keep shouting that out, it seems as though people weren’t too happy with the idea of losing what they thought was a spot at the beginning of the line.
In this gallery is lostsanitycosplays, cosplaying as Gale from Baldur’s Gate 3 in what amounts to a high-slit purple gown. I saw her walk by earlier in the day but didn’t recognize her, and when she came by, I told her how I really liked her interpretation of the costume. She corrected me, saying that it was canon — an outfit for Gale you can get in game. Just one more reason why that game is so wildly popular.
I won’t regale you with the details of my Lyft ride back home that evening, since much of why it was horrible wouldn’t make sense unless you were quite familiar with Boston streets. But her “shortcuts” added 30 minutes to a 45-minute estimated ride. Which gave her plenty of time to tell me about why she likes Trump, why she’s an evangelical Christian and why she believes that aliens have a base under the Antarctic ice. I guess it can’t be called kidnapping if I did make it back home, but it certainly can be called torture.
