‘Q’ Comes To Massachusetts In ‘Star Trek Timelines’ Status Video

Massachusetts-based game development company Disruptor Beam announced just before PAX East 2014 that it had been hired to develop a mobile and web game that would feature almost every possible major character that has ever appeared in any Star Trek TV show or movie. Now the company has put out a promotional video that looks at where the game — Star Trek Timelines — is now, a bit more than a year in the development cycle.

Joining Disruptor Beam at a company retreat was none other than the most annoying character ever to get a recurring role on Star Trek: Next Generation, the singular extension of a alternate universe’s entire consciousness, Q. OK, really the actor who portrayed him in the show and movies, John de Lancie.

At the bottom of the article is the video interview I did with Disruptor Beam CEO Jon Radoff during PAX East 2014, which will show you a bit more about how far reaching the game will be, as to just how much content it gets to tap into.

But below check out the current look of the ships, the universe, and the various methods of gameplay. I can tell you I played an early demo mission at PAX East 2015, and in just four months the game has come a long way (and I was already quite impressed with it after that demo).

Here I am, doing a great job as a radio interviewer on video, talking to Radoff about Star Trek Timelines, and the company’s big hit, Game of Thrones: Ascent.
