This year DC Comics expands their cinematic universe with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It’s a pretty big deal for a number of reasons. Obviously it’s big because this will be the first time these popular characters share the big screen together but it’s also a big deal because Wonder Woman will be making her big screen debut.

Wonder Woman is a member of DC’s trinity of “Big 3” characters, but unlike Batman and Superman she hasn’t gotten attention that the other two have. Everyone knows about Superman’s voyage from Krypton to Earth. Everyone knows how the murder of the Waynes lead to the birth of Batman. But how many people know the story of Diana of Themyscira? This week DC launches a new mini-series that delves into the origin of Wonder Woman to help get you up to speed before Wonder Woman leaps onto the screen.
