Anime Boston 2025 Cosplay Gallery Sunday Part 1
I mentioned in a previous article that there was one downside to the new two-floor arrangement of the Community Row, and the fact that we were on the second floor. When I arrived at Anime Boston 2025 Sunday morning, I noticed that there was a line of people along the wall behind my table, and all the tables in Community Row up to the next room, Room 208. They were queued up for a panel that would start in the room at 10 a.m.
Luckily for me (and undoubtedly sadly for them) I found a pair of AB security volunteers walking down the hallway and caught their attention. I pointed out that I couldn’t take photos until the line cleared, but my real concern was that I had left stuff stashed under the table overnight — as does almost every table in Community Row. So lining people up behind those tables puts that stuff at an increased level of risk. They were very understanding, but ultimately went from thinking my suggestion of having even one security person waiting along the line to keep an eye on things was “a good idea” to suggesting maybe the in-room security person in 208 “pops their head out every now and then to check on the line.”
For us the solution is simple: 1) don’t leave anything of any value under the table, and 2) relocate to either further down the hall past Room 208 or on the first floor, where all the rooms are dedicated for convention use and don’t need queue lines.
The line Sunday morning did clear before my official start time of 10 a.m., but I did have to tell a few early bird cosplayers to wait or come back. Ultimately more of an inconvenience than a problem, but it wasn’t the only time that day.
