Another Anime Convention 2026, Saturday Part 4
This fourth and final Saturday gallery from Another Anime Convention 2026 covers the longest stretch of time of any of the weekend’s galleries. How long? The photos of the Cosplay Masquerade judges about in the middle, hs_cosplayers and starsofcassiopeia, as characters from Witch Hat Atelier, were taken just before they had to go to the Masquerade, which started at 6:30 p.m. I shut down the studio when the Dealers Room closed at 8 p.m. So, almost half of the 90 photos in this gallery were taken in the hours before then.
The flow of cosplayers slowed down enough that when my assistant animesuckx asked when she and her friends could go get dinner, I asked for her to wait just long enough for me to go to the Green Room and grab something myself, which turned out to be some very tasty Chinese food. And a Dr. Pepper Blackberry Zero Sugar, which is now high on my list of favorites.
You might notice that there are two sets of group photos of the large Final Fantasy group in the featured photo above. That’s because after I took their individual and group photos, a Lulu cosplayer just happened to walk by, saw them and came running over. I asked her if she wanted photos, and if the group wanted another set with her in it, and everyone excitedly said yes. I do love those random (I assume) encounters.
That slow pace Saturday evening gave me lots of time to chat with yet another cosplay friend I hadn’t seen in awhile, the Chuuya Nakahara cosplayer (the second one in the gallery) from the anime Bungo Stray Dogs, seen in the last shot with her Yorkie, Rex. We caught up on lots of stuff, and she spent some considerable effort trying to get me to pick up watching the anime, which I had dropped after a few episodes into Season 2. In case you were wondering how much of a fan she is, this cosplay is (if I recall) from a prequel light novel with a much younger Chuuya Nakahara than appears in the stories adapted for the anime.
