ColossalCon East 2019 Sunday Gallery By Adam Etheridge

We now come to my final set of photos from ColossalCon East 2019, from Sunday at the event. Once again I returned to the water park, where thankfully, cosplay and photography was allowed for the duration of the convention day, unlike last year. A repeat of last year’s Sunday shenanigans was one of my greatest concerns for this year’s event, and it was a relief to see that ColossalCon East staff and Kalahari management had hashed things out.

Sunday is a short day for almost any convention, and ColossalCon East is no different. In fact, I’d say people tend to leave a bit earlier in the day than at most conventions, likely due to the fact that many people have a long drive home ahead of them. A large chunk of attendees appeared to be heading out at around the 2:00 – 4:00 time frame.

I realize that I missed a ton of great “land” (non-swimsuit) cosplay by spending the majority of the event focusing on photography at the water park. The bottom line is that the venue offers a unique photography experience that can’t be found at any other convention I attend, so doing photography at the water park is a “now or never” (or at least not until next year) situation for me. Perhaps all the stars will align next year, and we’ll be able to have a full team at the event to showcase cosplay throughout the entire venue.
