Emerald City Comic Con 2022 Friday Gallery Part 1 By Daveatthecon

A couple of weekends ago Emerald City Comic Con returned to Seattle for the second year in a row after the covid-19 pandemic shut it down (along with almost every other convention). As he has for a few years now, our team member Dave of daveatthecon on Instagram travelled from northern New England to the great Northwest to get photos of the many talented cosplayers that show up each year.

All of the photos in the two Friday galleries from ECCC 2022 were taken outside of the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle, up against an interesting rock formation in a greenspace. Since the convention was held in August, like it was last year, the conditions were perfect for outdoor photos. Next year the convention will return to its usual time of year, in March.

Last year we had just a single gallery from Friday, and the fact that we have two from this year’s convention indicates that attendance is returning to pre-pandemic levels.

Cosplayers in this first of two galleries include abrianscreativedesign, ginpatsucosplay, izzyacosplay, cantcomplaincosplay, earlgreyawesome, fitasfoxycosplay, erisvu, cavus_cosplay, maruwins, vega.cos, geeks_andgays, momanddadatcon, majensta, and many more.

We now use SmugMug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
