Falcon & Bucky Cosplays Over The Years While The Show’s On Hold
One of the first nerdy entertainment properties to be affected by the covid-10 pandemic was the upcoming series Falcon and the Winter Soldier. On March 10, Disney announced the series stopped production in Prague, in the Czech Republic, because of the effects of the coronavirus. The Czech government got ahead of the spread of the contagion by closing all schools and restricting travel. At the time, the series was shooting in Prague as well as its home base of Atlanta. Following the restrictions and closures, executives pulled everyone back to Atlanta. Since then, production on the show stopped completely, like almost all TV and movie productions.
Most recently, Falcon and the Winter Soldier was set to premier on Disney+ in August. That is not likely to happen and Disney+ executives have not announced any new premier date.
In this gallery we have cosplayers portraying both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. Sam Wilson as the Falcon, can be seen in both the MCU version and in his costume as Captain America during the time he held that title. There is a classic comic book version of Bucky as well as plenty of photos of his MCU version of the Winter Soldier — and even one comic book accurate Winter Soldier. Additionally the characters US Agent and Baron Zemo will be in the series, so I included the few examples of cosplay of them I’ve photographed over the years.
There are many more Bucky cosplayers in my galleries than are shown here because for the most part I wanted solo images, not the many Winter Soldiers with Captain Americas that I’ve also photographed. The one exception for this is the photo of the beach versions of Cap and Bucky, because it was so funny.

Special shout-out to Red Costuming and props, in the feature photo, who looks so much like Sebastian Stan he almost had to cosplay the MCU Winter Soldier.
