Friday PortConMaine 2019 Gallery Part 1

For the second year in a row, we were chosen as Featured Guests at PortConMaine, the anime-focused convention in southern Maine that just held its 18th iteration. Located at the twin circular towers of the DoubleTree Hotel in South Portland right across from the Maine Mall, PortConMaine is a small convention (reporting 3602 paid attendees this past weekend) that fills up the hotel, some of the Tru Hotel right next to the DoubleTree, and a large outside tent. In addition, there are the events held in the Maine Mall across the street.

This year we ran two panels, and despite both being at 9 a.m. — one Friday and one on Sunday — both were well attended and had great audience interaction. In between those, I shot lots of photos of the many cosplayers in attendance while Nerd Caliber founder and co-host of the “How to build a nerdy YouTube channel” panel, Manny, was out shooting video for our YouTube channel.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
