Granite State Comic Con 2019 Gallery, Saturday Part 1

Last year, Granite State Comic Con had to move it’s usual mid-September date to an earlier weekend in the month. That put it in conflict with Colossalcon East. But the convention was able to move back to its usual date for 2019 — and one day after making that announcement, Colossalcon East announced it had to move to the same weekend.

So for two years now the two conventions have been up against each other on the same weekend. Last year it was obvious attendance was off for GraniteCon from its usual numbers, but how much the competition with Colossalcon East was responsible for that is unclear. Luckily, this year those attendance numbers seemed to be right back to where they previously were. This was obvious because of the size of the crowds I saw, but also reinforced by the many artists and vendors I talked to, who said they were having a fantastically busy weekend.

I have three galleries from Saturday, all with enough photos they are pushing the limits of when I have to break them into smaller galleries. We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
