JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Cosplay Retrospective Gallery

Yesterday (April 4) in a live stream event, the producers of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure anime series announced that Book 6 of the manga series would be getting an anime adaptation, titled JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean. The main character in this arc is Jolyne Cujoh, and it was announced that voice actress Farouz Ai was cast as Jolyne. That means it is time to do a cosplay retrospective of people cosplaying characters from various seasons of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

The JoJo’s fandom is pretty seriously dedicated, as evidenced by the fact that the event was a $40 pay-per-view live stream, just to hear voice actors from previous seasons talk about the anime and get the official announcement of Season 6, which everyone was sure was going to be a part of the event. That announcement didn’t include any indication of when Season 6 will air, and the only visuals was a poster featuring the anime character design for Jolyne.

To be clear, I haven’t read any of the mange or seen any of the anime seasons. But I can recognize most of the characters because JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is one of the most memed anime shows in existence. And even if I don’t recognize a particular character design, I can usually tell it’s from JoJo’s, because of the lean. That ridiculous, spine-compressing backward lean pose is a dead giveaway that I might be looking at a character from the show.
