MegaCon Orlando 2021 Cosplay Gallery 1 By Cantera Image
Even though the Delta variant of the virus that causes covid-19 is still going strong, conventions are starting to return to activity, albeit with sensible mask requirements in place. So at the recent MegaCon Orlando, we had not one but two photographers on site. You’ve already seen the Cosplay Craftsmanship Cup contestants gallery taken by Wonderllama Photography (if not, click here) and now we have the first of four galleries from Cantera Image.
Manny of Cantera Image was a regular contributor to the site years ago but hasn’t been active shooting cosplay in years, ever since moving from New England to Florida. So when he reached out to see if we needed help with MegaCon Orlando, I jumped at the chance to get to work with him again.
Over the course of three days, Manny shot enough photos of cosplayers to fill out four galleries of more than 100 images each. Unfortunately I don’t have IDs for any of the cosplayers in this gallery, and the 8,000+ photos under the megacon2021 hashtag on Instagram isn’t much help.
We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
