Mortal Kombat Cosplay Retrospective On Finisher’s Medal Day

Today is Finisher’s Medal Day, a day created by the Little Rock Marathon back in 2018 to celebrate all those who actually managed to finish that marathon. But when I saw the day pop up in my calendar, I — like many of you I assume — immediately thought of the announcer in the Mortal Kombat games.

This gallery appeared almost as is in a post from just about one year ago, then in notice of the first trailer for the most recent Mortal Kombat movie. For fans of that new take on the franchise, a sequel has been given the go-ahead, so you have that to look forward to. But since then, I did take a couple more photos of a Johnny Cage cosplayer, back in the Fall when it looked like conventions might happen again. And I found a few more photos that I had missed in the first go-round.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
