Nick Fury Retrospective Gallery On News Of A Disney+ Series
Last week on Friday, Sept. 25, Variety broke the news that Samuel L. Jackson had signed on to star in a new Disney+ series about Nick Fury. Aside from the fact that Kyle Bradstreet, best known for being a writer and producer on Mr. Robot, will be the executive producer and head writer, not much is know about the series. Because the most recent appearance by Fury was in Spider-Man: Far From Home in which it was shown (SPOILER ALERT) that he was relaxing on a space station apparently run by Skrulls, a lot of speculation has been that the series will be about Fury setting up Marvel’s other big security agency, S.W.O.R.D.
That group, which is tasked with protecting Earth from space-based threats, is also seen in the first trailer for the Disney+ series WandaVision, with an adult Monica Rambeau (seen as a child in Captain Marvel) and agent Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp apparently on the team. So we know S.W.O.R.D. (Sentient World Observation and Response Department) exists in the greater MCU.
