Rhode Island Anime Con 2025 Gallery Part 1
After trying to attend since it started in 2023, this year I made it to Rhode Island Anime Con, although just for one day. Travelling down to the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence with Kevin of kbrophystudio on Saturday, I picked my usual spot to set up — the comfortable seating lounge area in the back of the mezzanine level.
The convention did offer us a place in the showroom, but since I was only there one day and didn’t want to haul all my studio gear with me, I decided to go a more casual route. So, as in Rhode Island Comic Cons of previous years, I set up a single flash on a light stand and bounced it off the two walls and the ceiling in the corner of the lounge area, making for a very broad reach of a soft light.
Even with only a couple of days advance notice on my social media and that of Nerd Caliber, plenty of our cosplay friends found me, probably because they were so used to me being in that spot of the convention center. But that spot is also great for grabbing cosplayers passing by, since the escalators to the floor above where all the panels and where all the cosplay meetups were held stopped at the mezzanine.
Cosplayers in this first of two galleries, both from Saturday, include Snortimer-MonsterUndertheBed, blueeyedsirencosplay, suzukichan_cos, spaceybunniez, Eddie Laz, graveyard_baby_cosplay, hats_cg maskedsaiyancosplay, gokusagicosplay frugalishious, mushi_cos, zokins.marie, tentaclexmonster, zimmermanjoe21, avadakadabra__, and many more.
