Star Wars Celebration 2019 Gallery Day 1

For the first time in its long history, we managed to get a photographer at the latest event in the rolling convention that is Star Wars Celebration. Held this year at McCormick Place in Chicago, we sent new team member Bryan of B. Marchulaitis Photography to the Windy City to get photos of the amazing cosplayers and costumers there to participate in all things Star Wars.

Star Wars Celebration travels around the world, picking a different city each year. While it is usually somewhere in the U.S. (Anaheim once again next year) it has been held in Germany, the U.K. and even Japan. Because of its enormous size and the huge crowds, it is limited in venues that can handle it, and in the past handful of years has generally moved from McCormick Place to the Anaheim Convention Center to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

Cosplayers in the day one gallery include Cas The Gamo, drewthecostumer, one_nut_king, tk42103, jareth_g_king, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
