TerrifiCon 2018 Photo Gallery by Babs Who Takes Pictures!

Our first ever photo gallery from Connecticut convention TerrifiCon comes to us from none other than Babs Who Take Pictures. We had a video team this year at the con held at Mohegan Sun but no photographer, until Babs mentioned she was going and would be happy to supply us a gallery of hall shots from Saturday. Nearly broke my fingers typing “yes!”

TerrifiCon was founded in 2016 by Mitch Hallock, after the last convention of the original ComiCONN, co-founded byHallock and Erik Yacko, had moved to the resort casino Mohegan Sun in 2015. A few months before that convention Hallock and Yacko split, but the con went on with the ComiCONN name as it was too late to change anything. Hallock stayed at Mohegan Sun with the new TerrifiCon, while Yacko, who retained the ComiCONN name, eventually merged it with Hartford Comic Con and rebranded that show ComiCONN when it moved to the Nutmeg State’s other resort casino, Foxwoods, in 2017.

Meanwhile Hallock has been growing TerrifiCon at Mohegan Sun every August since the first show in 2016.

If you are pictured in any of our galleries, feel free to download the images and use them non-commercially on social media, with appropriate credit.

(Ed Note. The original version of this article stated that Hallock and Yacko split after the 2015 ComiCONN show, but it happened a few months prior. The article has been edited to correct that.)
