Todoroki Is Hot & Cold (Mostly Really Hot) About Valentine’s Day!

This year I was lucky enough to be able to do a Valentine’s Day photo shoot with the wonderful Jenevieve Devereaux Cosplay. When I first approached her about the idea, she had a couple of other possibilities in mind for who to cosplay, but settled on a very fem version of Todoroki from My Hero Academia.

As soon as Jen decided on Todoroki I knew I wanted to bring to the shoot the two LED light wands that I use for background lighting during our Nerd Week Live streams on YouTube every Tuesday evening. While the colored light wash is pretty subtle in the face of natural light and fill flash, it still adds a nice bit of color depth.

The red lingerie Jen chose was perfect for the character, even if it did make Todoroki’s hot side clearly the dominant half — as would be appropriate for Valentine’s Day. Not that it was hot outside when we shot this set last Sunday. In fact we stopped for a bit as a snow flurry hit way earlier than predicted and we both worried about the hour-long drive back to our neighboring home towns from the shoot location. But the flurries were just a tease, and the sun came back out in short order.

This is the first set in what will be an ongoing series throughout the year we’re calling “Hot Holidays” — sexy photos themed for various holidays. Stay tuned for more information.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
