Do you want to go to PAX East in Boston in about a month, but didn’t get one of the 4-day badges because of the cost? Do you still need a 4-day badge for the East Coast’s largest gaming convention?

If you fit this description — or just want to upgrade your existing one-day badge into a 4-day badge — you could be in luck. Whatever your reason, we have been given by PAX East five (5) 4-day badges to give away to five lucky individuals. While it seems unlikely that you don’t know everything you need to about PAX East if you’ve read this far, here’s the overall description of the history of the Penny Arcade Expo from the website itself:

In 2004, Penny Arcade established a convention exclusively for gaming, following in the footsteps of comic, anime, and other geek hobbies. That year, a 4,500-person event was held in Bellevue, WA focused around the gaming community. Subsequent years saw the show double in size until venues reached capacity, prompting the creation of the Boston-based PAX East in 2010.

In its first year, PAX East was at the Hynes Convention Center but the next year moved into the much larger Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport District. This year PAX East runs from Feb. 27 to March 1.

There are some rules you need to follow in order to have a chance at winning one of the five badges. First, in the Google Form linked here, you must fill in your real first and last name as it appears on the ID you would use to pick up your badges at the convention. You also need to use an email address to which your confirmation as a winner will be sent. We won’t be able to verify this, so if you don’t use your real name, get picked as a winner, and show up to get your badge, you will be denied.

Using a random number generator we will then pick the five winners, and announce them on our Feb. 4 live show Nerd Week Live on our YouTube channel, at the end of the show, which starts at 8 p.m. Eastern every (almost every) Tuesday! Submissions close Tuesday, Feb. 4 at Noon Eastern. Good luck to everyone that tries to win! And, needless to say but saying it anyway: Nerd Caliber team members and contributors are not eligible.
