What Movies in 2021 Are You Most Excited For?

Once again on the first day of the year we want to know what movies you are most excited to see in the coming calendar year.

Because so many movies that were scheduled for 2020 have been moved into 2021, we are increasing the maximum number of movies you can choose from 5 to 7. Of course, with covid-19 still a problem, and only Warner Bros. committing to both theater and streaming releases for all its movies in 2021, whether or not you are comfortable going to a theater in the first half of 2021 — or at all in this coming year — is completely appropriate as a factor in which movies you plan to see.

It is still entirely possible that some of these movies may change date or even be pushed into 2022. Nobody knows how the vaccines for covid-19 that are just now starting to be distributed will affect the rate of infections, and therefore when cities and states relax the group size restrictions — or, God forbid, have to increase them. And some movies have no firm release date yet, including a Masters of the Universe remake.

Also, note that different websites that track movies have different release dates for some of the movies — in some cases months different.

If you are anything like me, you are chomping at the bit for a whole bunch of these movies — while also still being concerned about being in a poorly ventilated room with hundreds of other people sitting elbow-to-elbow. Fingers crossed we can all safely go to a theater and watch some of the big spectacle movies like Black Widow, No Time To Die, F9 and Dune they way they were intended to be seen.
