World Baking Day Cosplay Retrospective Gallery

Today is World Baking Day. Sure, it is a brand-focused marketing holiday created in 2012 by Unilever to promote its margarine products, but it is still getting some press as it rolls along on its own steam (pun intended) after 11 years.

I almost decided to pull together a gallery of about 100 booty shots from the thousands I’ve taken over the years, and post something like “It’s World Baking Day, here’s a gallery with lots of cake.” But picking just 100 or so photos to use seemed as much a slog as going through all my cosplay galleries to get the slightly more than a dozen photos in this set of people actually holding baked goods while in cosplay costumes.

Actually, there is one canonical baker in the gallery — Mrs. Lovett from Sweeney Todd, taken way back when at ConnectiCon in 2011. Though I would avoid her baked goods if I were you.

We use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This allows us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
