Emerald City Comic Con 2021 Friday Gallery By Daveatthecon

In the short gap of a few months between the beginning of the covid-19 pandemic and the recent surge of the Omicron variant, convention started coming back and our team felt safe enough to attend some of them. One of the last ones to happen before Omicron ruined our Holidays was Emerald City Comic Con held in Seattle a couple weekends ago.

Our team member Dave of daveatthecon on Instagram went to get photos for us, as he has for the past few years the con was actually held. In 2020 the convention still felt it would be held in March of that year, and Dave flew out a week early — so he was on the plane to Seattle when it was postponed. Ultimately it was postponed twice and, like all cons for more than a year, outright canceled.

Since Dave lives near Portland, you might think it would be an easy trip for him, but he lives outside of Portland, Maine, not Portland, Ore. — completely on the opposite coast from Seattle. Still, ECCC is one of his favorite cons, and Dave was very happy to get back to it.
