Emerald City Comic Con 2021 Saturday Gallery Part 2 By Daveatthecon

In this second of three Saturday galleries from Emerald City Comic Con 2021, Dave of daveatthecon captured how broad the fandom representation is at the convention. Sure, there are both comic book characters of recent interest, such as John Walker and Polka-Dot Man, but also the classic Jack Kirby look of Big Barda. But in addition to the comic book characters one would expect at a comic con, Dave has photos of gijinka Pokemon characters, Fred and George Weasley and a Hunter S. Thompson cosplay of all things.

Because of the covid-19 pandemic, last year’s ECCC was canceled completely after two postponements. This year it moved to early December, just managing to squeeze into the period between the Delta variant surge and the rise of the Omicron variant. Next year, however, the convention plans to return to August — a much better time of year to hold a convention in Seattle.
