Justice League Dark Cosplay Over The Years On News Of A Series

The comic book series Justice League Dark launched in 2011, with the premise that a team of DC’s most mystical characters were assembled by Batman to combat supernatural menaces that proved to be a challenge for the regular Justice League. Warner Bros. Animation made an animated movie that was released in 2017 and is up to the usual excellent WB/DC animation standards.

Now we have news that one of the first projects J.J. Abrams will be working on for HBO Max is a Justice League Dark series. It was announced a while ago that Abrams would be doing something with the JLD intellectual property when his deal with HBO Max was first announced. Now we know it will be a series, but no further details, including if it would be live action or animated.

I interviewed Matt Ryan about playing John Constantine for the Justice League Dark movie at New York Comic Con 2016 and you can check that out here.

Speaking of Constantine, the team in the movie also included Zatanna, Deadman, Swamp Thing and Etrigan the Demon. While Batman (voiced by Jason O’Mara in the movie) was the founder of the team, I decided not to include photos of the Caped Crusader, because I’ve taken so many photos of Batman over the years it would triple or more the size of the gallery. Zatanna is the most common cosplay in the gallery, but Constantine is a close second. There are a couple of Swamp Thing cosplays and even one Etrigan the Demon.

There are also a bunch of photos of Deadman, and they are all the same cosplayer, christians_comics87.

Other cosplayers in this gallery include WyldRyce Cosplay, Katastrophe Cosplay, Jo Fate, Kelly Green, bdcharacterlab, faerieprincen, penny_lane_cosplay, geoffreyriot, trk_knight, italianpeachcosplayfit, Brandon the Shapeshifter, Morenafantasie, vixenjay_, Hybrid Spyder, Morethia Cosplay, Mini Mal Cosplay, Jessica Mercy, darkcrystal72, calistacoryn, Thatch Cosplay, Lodaim, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
