Keystone Comic Con 2019 Cosplay Gallery Part 2

Attendance at Keystone Comic Con 2019 clearly hit its peak on Sunday of the convention, which is an extremely unusual occurrence for a multi-day convention, as Saturday is generally the most well-attended day.

This abnormality was in no doubt due to an appearance by Tom Holland, who was only appearing on Sunday. Fans began lining up several hours before the convention began, in hopes of getting a good seat for the panel he was hosting at 10 a.m. that morning.

Due to the large crowds, convention organizers decided to begin letting fans in the building at 8 a.m. (two hours before opening time) in order to get attendees through security and into the venue in a timely manner. According to the fans I talked to, everything was handled well and went pretty smoothly. When I arrived to the venue at around 10 a.m., the line to enter the building was very short, and I was able to get through security in just a few minutes. This was a situation where entrance could have easily been bottlenecked for several hours had the organizers not reacted properly. Kudos on a job well done to all involved.

I noticed that on Sunday in particular, there was a much lower percentage of people in cosplay that I’m used to seeing at this type of convention. I assume this was due to a large number of “casual” fans who mainly attended to get an autograph or photo op with Tom Holland. This observation is something that is likely of little importance to most people, and I mention it mainly as an excuse to our readers (and our website editor) as to why there may not be as many cosplay photo galleries from the event as one might expect for a convention this size.

All told, Keystone Comic Con 2019 seemed to be a success overall. As long as ReedPOP can continue to draw in big-name celebrities, I would expect the convention to have staying power and be around for years to come.
