Old Man Logan Cosplay Retrospective Gallery

Today is National Senior Health & Fitness Day, and what better senior citizen to represent that event than the man with the healing factor that makes him the healthiest character in Marvel Comics, Wolverine, AKA Logan.

OK, in both the Old Man Logan comics and the movie Logan, Wolverine has lost much (or all) of his healing ability, but still, he looks pretty good for someone who is more than 150 years old. Also, to be clear, I’m not making fun of the importance of senior fitness and health by choosing to showcase a character who doesn’t have to worry about that actual work required to be healthy and fit as one ages. As a not-too-healthy 63-year-old myself, I often wish I had Logan’s mutation-based shortcut to health and fitness. But in the real world there is no such shortcut, so effort and dedication are required to stay healthy.

It is also the 30th anniversary of the founding of National Senior Health & Fitness Day. Like most of these “national days of…” events, it was founded as a marketing tool by the Mature Market Resource Center, which continues to manage it. Unlike most such days, it has been picked up by almost all fitness centers, health centers and nearly any business which focuses on senior fitness. The last Wednesday in every May, most of them have special events as a way to get more seniors thinking about their health needs.

So, while you are chugging that kale and prune smoothie after your water aerobics class, enjoy this gallery of that jerk that never had to do any of that.

Among the cosplayers in this gallery are cubseidl, clillithcosplay, BNH Photography, Zombie Leaderdaveatthecon, stormtrooperguy, _everyoneshero_, and more.

We use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This allows us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
