Petry Cosplays In Halloween Town Marluxia Cosplay From CCCP 2020

By noon on Saturday of our Cape Cod Cosplay Photoshoot Week in late October, Petry Cosplays and Saurian Warrior Cosplay had arrived at the Southfleet Motor Inn in South Wellfleet. With all other photographers out doing shoots, I picked up the opportunity, and given Petry Cosplays’ costume of Halloween Town Marluxia, it seemed appropriate to go back to the cemetery for the shoot.

Marluxia is a villain from Kingdom Hearts 3, and the idea of this character in Halloween Town from A Nightmare Before Christmas is a pretty obscure head canon. It was much brighter out for this shoot than the previous afternoon when I did shoots at the cemetery of Multitudes Cosplay and Not Quite Done Yet Cosplay, so the deep orange LED highlights don’t really show until we moved to the shade of large pine tree.

Probably the biggest reason I did most of my shoots from late Friday on through the rest of the weekend near the Southfleet is that, after months of covid-19-related sedentary life in mostly self-isolation, the back to back hike into the White Cedar Swamp then hike through the soft beach sand for different shoots just about wiped me out. Not that either of them could in any way be called strenuous for most people younger and smaller than I am, and usually I could power through them with just some huffing, but man, the shutdown got me weak.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
