New York Comic Con 2017 FPS Gallery, Thursday Part 1

The first gallery from New York Comic Con 2017 is from the first half of the craziest day of the con, Thursday. Our team experienced multiple instances of violation of the concept of required consent (not by us, to be perfectly clear) all of which involved security and resulted in the violators being warned of a ban should another instance happen.

Add to that the fact that Thursday did eventually sell out so the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center was as packed as any Friday from prior years and the result was quite a busy and strenuous day. With all of that I managed to get just two galleries of photos.

Among the cosplayers in this gallery are caseyod_, Kitty Brooker CosplayCostumes by Zonbi, Liz Mooney wearing a fashion creation called ‘Beyond Blue’ designed and made by artist Ryan Jude NovellineShei Phandylan_bagginsbluestreak_cosplaysearayeElena Blueskies CosplayFabibi World CosplayDollilicious, Maweezy Cosplay, and many more.

Photo gallery tips: Once the page loads the images, you will see the Forward and Back navigation arrows above the image, in case you want to scroll faster than the preset. And to see the entire gallery as thumbnails, click on the gray four-box square next to the navigation arrows.

High-res images for sale!
If you are pictured in any of our galleries and want the high resolution download for yourself, we can make it available via a private, password-protected link, for $8 per image. Just send an email to editor AT

We are also now selling high resolution images of some of the photos taken of cosplayers that have agreed to let us do so. To see the 50 or so images we have available to download for a mere $8 each, go to our Anime Boston 2016 sales gallery and our brand new Spring Super Megafest 2016 sales gallery.

The Shape of Water Will Fill Your Hearts and Minds

The tagline for Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water is “A Fairy Tale for Troubled Times.” It’s a clever phrase whose double meaning is quite apt. Set in the incredibly troubled Cold War era of 1962, its depiction of...
