Granite State Comicon 2025 Sunday Gallery Part 2

I suppose I should explain why, in these galleries from Sunday at Granite State Comicon 2025, the backdrop is black, instead of gray as it was on Saturday. As I mentioned in the first Saturday post, the Granitecon photo staff had already set up a gray backdrop to use for taking pictures of the Cosplay Contest participants just before the contest at 5 p.m. I didn’t have enough space in the crowded Cosplace Room for my backdrop as well, so I took them up on the offer to use that gray one.

Sunday morning I came in and it was gone. I was somewhat annoyed, since they used up the last of my gaff tape securing the gray backdrop, so my plan was to not use one at all. But Contest, Cosplay and Panel Coordinator Pat “thecovinator” Covey convinced me that, with the help of Jake of _zephyrphotos for setup and break down, I should set up my backdrop — with the loan of a roll of gaff tape. I was glad I did, as the photos in the two Sunday galleries look much better than they would have just using the wall as a backdrop.

If I have one regret from my time at Granitecon 2025 it was that, when trying to look up the name of the coffee and sandwich shop in the Center of New Hampshire, I got the name wrong, and for some reason, Google Maps didn’t show anything in that location, so I assumed it was closed. Turns out, it is the Daily Brew, it’s still open, and that means that I missed out on some of the best bang-for-your-buck sandwiches to be had at any convention.

Overall, this year’s Granitecon was a good time and, from everything I’ve seen post-con, a success — despite all of the problems thrown at it. Just two years into a significant expansion for the convention, Granitecon seems to have established a system and team that can handle serious challenges, like last year’s insane crowds and this year’s cancellations and flooding. Fingers crossed it gets to experience that expansion without any big challenges when it comes back Sept. 19-20, 2026.

Among the cosplayers in this final gallery from Granitecon 2025 are touganloo, glitch_vbk, koifishasylum, jupitershero, shihoscos, nyan_nyum_idols, fxnzombie, gravitytester, missnikkimuffin, and many more.
