NYCC 2019 Friday Gallery By Adam Etheridge, Part 1
I began my day on Friday at New York Comic Con 2019 taking photos near the DC Comics booth, which was located at the far end of level 2 of the Javits. This was a routine I would repeat in the early hours of each day throughout the rest of the convention. I preferred taking photos in the area just outside the doors, but that was not really feasible during the first couple hours of each day, as attendees would be entering the building in that area.
In the early afternoon I briefly moved up to the the Cosplay Central area to make use of the classroom photo set there to take some photos of Sakuraharunogirl who was cosplaying as Juliet Starling from the game Lollipop Chainsaw. This was a rare opportunity to get some photos of a character in their “natural environment,” as Lollipop Chainsaw was set in a high school.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
