Wonder Woman Cosplay Over the Years Since The Sequel Date Has Moved, Part 1

On March 24, Warner Bros. announced that it was moving the premier date of Wonder Woman 1984 off its original date of June 5. Unlike almost every other movie that announced a postponement of its premier date, Wonder Woman 1984 picked a new date already, moving to August 14.

Kudos to Warner Bros. for having the courage to assume that the current coronavirus pandemic effects will have cleared up enough by August to allow for large numbers of people to gather in theaters. And the movie has been ready to go, with the possible exception of some late computer effects, so the shut down of nearly all ongoing TV and movie productions that has affected so many in-production properties isn’t a factor of the decision to move Wonder Woman 1984.

I know that I said in the Black Widow retrospective gallery post that I didn’t want to break up the large number of images into two posts, but I have taken so many Wonder Woman cosplay photos over the past eight years that combined it would have been the equivalent of four galleries worth if taken at a single convention.

So here is the first of two oversize galleries featuring nearly every form of Wonder Woman ever shown in comics, TV or movies — as well as many personal interpretations. Also there are some characters solely from the franchise, such as Hippolyta. And I can’t say for sure that every Wonder Woman is in fact her. There could be some Wonder Girl cosplayers in here, in a costume so close to Wonder Woman’s I couldn’t tell the difference.

Among the cosplayers in this first of two galleries are Jay Justice, Kamui Cosplay, Katie Cosplays, alexiscrafting, Jamie Dolan – That Wonder Woman, lothloriencosplay, GiveWave Studios, Kaylaina Cosplay, rachel_maksy, kraftykacen, Miss Molly the Cosplayer, Glamazon_Painforest_Cosplay, Dollilicious, Nicole Marie Jean, Cutiepiesensei Cosplay, Koi Fish Asylum, vixenjay_, Retired Wonder Woman, and many more.

We now use Smugmug to present cosplay photo galleries and will post all photos there, with a link to each gallery in its own gallery article. This will allow us to give you higher resolution images to download — still for free.
