Anime Boston 2026 Saturday Part 3
This gallery from mid-afternoon of Saturday at Anime Boston 2026 starts out strong, with starsofcassiopeia as Qifrey from the new huge anime hit Witch Hat Atelier, followed by aquagr00ve as Ocelot from Metal Gear Solid 3 and Moonie Warrior Cosplay as Snow White, from a design by special guest artist Sakizo. But when I saw the group all cosplaying from Demon Slayer walk by, I had to call out to them and get them into the studio space. Turns out they are all one family. Parenting done right.
Things slowed down enough as the afternoon wore on that I was able to cut Clever loose from the table so he could get out and enjoy more of the convention, while checking back in on a regular schedule. That slower pace allowed me to chat with cosplay friends for a bit when they came back for more photos, including torchrabbit in her awesome Baja Blast Hatsune Miku.
Another benefit of the slower pace was that I got a chance to grab a bite for a late lunch, courtesy of thejustincosplay, who went to the nearby food station to get me a sandwich and some chips. Turns out they were out of sandwiches, so he got me a couple of hot dogs, which were pretty tasty. That said, I wish the John B. Hynes Veterans Memorial Convention Center would do something like its sister center, the Thomas M. Menino Convention and Exhibition Center in South Boston and have some official food court with better food options. Both are owned by Signature Boston, so it’s not like there isn’t the expertise there in the overall organization. And, sure, it would step on the toes a bit of the Eataly food court in the attached Prudential Center, but not having to send people out of the Hynes to get good food would be a plus.
